If I could be a musician, I’d be Mark Knopfler. Seriously. This piece gives me goosebumps. I think it’s because it shows he’s a truly great musician and not just a great entertainer. Also, he’s one of the few rock guitarists who does finger-picking.

I agree this is a magical piece.
I’m hoping you’ve seen the movie, “Local Hero”, starring Burt Lancaster. Knopfler wrote and produced the soundtrack for the movie, and this song was the main theme. The movie was set in a fictional Scottish West coast village, which is closely based on a village I know and love.
I haven’t seen that. I’ll look for it on Netflix.
I can’t listen to the whole piece right now, but I agree with you, he’s fantastic. Even though my wife can’t stand his voice, he’s always had one of my favorite singing tones as well.
Gave ne goodies too and this is beautiful. TY for sharing this.
I agree! I love his music!
This song always brings joy-tears to my eyes…it’s just so beautiful!
I love how we can feel music…how it moves us emotionally…sigh.
HUGS and Happy Whee-kend to you and to Alicia!!!
🙂
What I could hear, with my lousy band-width, I liked.
